Moon and TeamBlind’s Korea Country Manager Kyum Kim recently sat down with this newspaper via Skype to talk about the app’s future and online safety. ![]() The San Francisco and Seoul startup has raised more than $6 million in funding. “I was really disappointed by that (decision) so I thought I should make an anonymous chat board for company workers as a third party.” Founded in 2013, Blind now has users from more than 3,000 companies. “Several years later, Naver shut down the board because employees started talking about critical and sensitive issues,” Moon said. There, he noticed, employees talked openly with one another in an anonymous chat board on the company’s intranet. Sunguk Moon, TeamBlind’s CEO and co-founder, said he came up with the idea for the app after he started working at South Korean search giant Naver in 2009. And thousands of techies, including some from Microsoft, Google and Facebook, are getting the inside scoop on the anonymous chat app Blind. From sexual harassment to cryptocurrency, tech workers have plenty to talk about this year.
